The Awards
Every Production Designer and Set Decorator nominated by the major film and television academies — from the 1929 Oscars through the 2026 SDSA Awards. Filter by year, body, name, role, or production.
We're building this in public. The Oscars alone have ~340 ceremonies' worth of Best Production Design / Best Art Direction nominations going back to 1929 — plus the BAFTA, Primetime & Daytime Emmys, the Art Directors Guild's 15+ categories, the SDSA Awards, and 30+ international academies (BAFTA, César, Goya, David di Donatello, Canadian Screen, IFTA, Japan Academy, Hong Kong, Golden Horse, AACTA, BIFA, Saturn, Critics' Choice, Annie, Satellite, Magritte, OFCS, HCA, CFCA, LAFCA…).
18 bodies are now harvested from Wikipedia or seeded directly: Oscars, BAFTA, Primetime Emmy, Art Directors Guild, SDSA, Saturn, Critics' Choice, Satellite, AACTA, Annie, Goya, César, David di Donatello, European Film, BIFA, Magritte, Hong Kong Film, and the SDSA Awards. The remaining bodies (Filmfare, Mainichi, Golden Horse, Canadian Screen, IFTA, Japan Academy, Deutscher Filmpreis, Nastri d'Argento, Silver Condor, OFCS, HCA, CFCA, LAFCA, HFCS, and others) are pending — most don't have a dedicated Production Design Wikipedia page yet.
Golden Globes, SAG-AFTRA, and the Independent Spirits never had a Production Design or Set Decoration category — full list of awards that don't recognize PDs/SDs is below.
